OPPOSITION
TAKE HEART!
You have faith in Jesus and in the truth that you were already healed by His stripes. You persevered and don't doubt. But still, you are waiting for the manifestation of your healing/ miracle/ blessing. Why?
In his teaching, Andrew Wommack is talking about how to think correctly, should we experience delay. Andrew Wommack warns us not to allow confusion and doubt to control our thoughts, of we encounter delay.
DANIEL'S DELAY
Then he points to Daniel's story (Daniel 10), how he prayed twice. First he got his answer after waiting for three minutes. The second time, when he expected an answer, it took three weeks for the answer to arrive! Why was that the case? Because of demonic opposition!
Andrew also teaches that mostly those people experience this delay whom the devil considers dangerous. So take heart, don't allow this to sadden you!
SOLUTION
But we are new covenant believers, so we have autority over the devil!!! We can shorten this waiting period by rebuking the devil to flee from us. This is what I am doing concerning healing and other needs. There has to be an end to opposition.
JESUS' EXAMPLE
The devil also left Jesus after three temptations. So this waiting is to finish now- that is my revelation and declaration.
ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF JESUS
While praying and meditating on the topic of opposition, Holy Spirit reminded me of resurrection. There again 3 days are mentioned, just like in Daniel's case- 3 minutes, 3 weeks. I think Jesus could have risen sooner. But maybe even the former prophets foresaw the delay and it was unavoidable...
"But darkness could not hold Him"... Not long.
DECLARATION
Devil, flee from the name, Spirit and authority of Jesus! Our families are holy ground, Jesus' blood covers them. Jesus is life to bodies and situations.
I decree resurrection. Jesus rose. We rose with Him. The devil was defeated. Delay, opposition were torn down . Victory is to come thanks to resurrection power in Christ. I decree resurrection, life, the tumbling down on Jericho 's walls, new life. Now.
Opposition in the new covenant
WORD
Eph 6, 11-12 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Eph 6, 13-18 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.
