Who is saved❓

How should we preach the gospel better ❓

How come that nowadays I see so many people claiming to be Christians but whose life doesn't look changed or impacted by Christ... ❓

How can we attract people to Jesus ❓

Jesus' teaching: 

He said that repentance and remission of sins should be preached. These are needed for people to be born again on earth, and in order to become sons of our Heavenly Father and go to heaven after death.

Luke 24, 47. "Now you must go into all the nations and preach repentance and forgiveness of sins so that they will turn to me."TPT

This means that repentance and the remission/forgiveness of sins go together.

WARNING!

You are not preaching the gospel, if you don't mention repentance. People can't move forward in faith without repentance.

REPENTANCE

Repentance means: change of mind, turning around. When somebody repents, for that person sin becomes horrific. If you see sin as fun, you are not born-again. Because sin is death, sin leads to death. Romans 6, 23. If you play with sin, you will die. This is why it is so important that people change their mind about sin.

GRACE

Grace does not give you the right to live in sin. Grace gives you the ability to live above sin, to hate evil and to walk in righteousness. If you are not walking in this grace, it is a false grace and then you are not saved.*

HOW TO REPENT?

In Greek, the language of the new covenant, repentance is "metanoia", which means "change of mind".

People are called to seek God like their most valuable treasure, but in fact God gives us the desire to repent. It is a grace-gift, which has to be accepted and used.

2 Tim 2, 25. "Then with meekness you'll be able to carefully enlighten those who argue with you so they can see God's gracious gift of repentance and be brought to the truth." TPT

How to attract people to Jesus?

💥WITH  MIRACLES, HEALINGS!

People repent when they get overwhelmed with and convinced by God's love, goodness for them, which are best shown through miracles (Matth 11, 21),

Matthew 11, 21. He said, "How tragic it will be for the city of Korazin! And how horrible for the city of Bethsaida! For if the powerful miracles that I performed in Korazin and Bethsaida had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have humbled themselves and repented, and turned from their sins."

👩‍❤️‍👨 FORGIVENESS

when people get to know that Jesus has forgiven their sins (John 8, 11),

❤️LOVE!

when unbelievers see how Christians love each other (John 13, 35),

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

🗣️PROPHESY!

when they hear prophesies and understand God's wisdom (1 Cor 14, 24. 25.),

But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, 25 as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you!"

📘THE  WORD!

when they hear the Word (Roma 10, 17),

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

👰HOLINESS!

when they see believers' holy life (1 Peter 3, 1.2).

In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over 2 by observing your pure and reverent lives. 

Of course, in other relationships holiness can be attractive.

• 💥I saw what high price believers were willing to pay for their faith. They did not mind if they were mocked by and outcast from their parents for their faith.

• 🎉They rather devoted their free time to the Bible and prayer and preferred the joy of the Lord to lust.

I said: if faith is so valuable, it is worth living for!

• 🗣️I heard Jesus speaking to me through the Word, so I didn't care what people may say.

• ❤️I was enamoured with Jesus' sacrificial, unconditional love and the power of Holy Spirit.💥 I saw the extraordinary love and care of believers.

REPENTANCE IN THE BIBLE

Zacchaeus' repentance is a great example. His true conversion was proven by his changed actions and behaviour. Luke 19, 8. He paid back four times as much as he had stolen from people. When one gets born again and receives Holy Spirit, a new heart, one cannot keep one's former sinful life.

It is necessary that one sees sin in one's human nature and hates it.

Luke 5,32. Jesus: I have not come to call the 'righteous', but to call those who know they are sinners and bring them to repentance. TPT

Mary Magdalene also saw her sins and repented and was told by Jesus not to sin anymore. Luke 7, 47. John 8, 11.

The rich young man didn't repent and didn't follow Jesus, as he did not acknowledge the wickedness of his sin: the love for money. Matth 19, 22.

WHAT IS SIN?

John 16, 9. says that sin is when people don't believe in who Jesus is. Everything contrary to love – is sin- people can sin in deeds and thoughts. (If we don't love people, how could we love God? 1 John 4, 20.)

CAN BELIEVERS SIN?

You may think, dear Reader: who could be then a true believer? We all sin, even if we know and love Jesus. Thank God for forgiveness.

If we boast that we have no sin, we're only fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth. But if we freely admit our sins when his light uncovers them, he will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and he will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9 TPT

So don't worry, keep communing with God and just turn away from sin, whenever Holy Spirit shows it to you. (That is possible by grace and using the Word as your sword.) If you see this passion in your heart, if you are truly thankful to Jesus for who He is (Redeemer from sin, your Lord, Love…) and for His finished Work, you are His.

PRAYER TO GET SAVED

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus, for Your mighty, passionate love to save me from sin and hell. I accept Your gift of faith, and a new heart. I hate my sins and you know how deeply grieved I am for having done these. Thank You that You never mention these anymore and no sin can ever hold me back from You! Thank You for Your gift of Holy Spirit, who gives me strength to keep going on the right path. You'll keep me from causing harm to others and myself. I am Your child. I am free from the bondage of sin. I am heading to heaven!

FINAL SCRIPTURE

Acts 3, 19. Now you must repent and turn back to God so that your sins will be removed, and so that times of refreshing will stream from the Lords presence. TPT
