Greetings Mommy and Daddy of powerful prayers. 🫶
Years ago I really enjoyed getting together with my friend, mom Esther, for our prayer video calls.
We discussed what topics we wanted prayer for and this way we got to know each other better. It was such joy and relief to hear her pray for me, all details, so I could realise: if a human pays attention to and cares about all these things, how much more does our Heavenly Father know these and help wonderfully!
But to be honest, I often felt overwhelmed at the sight of all the problems. I froze. 😱Will I be able to pray passionately enough? Will I find the right words? Can I reach the depths of the Spirit where I only sense God's love and forget the world's limitations?
❤️🔥But during all these years our prayers have greatly changed! We learned to cooperate more and more with Holy Spirit, without worrying about the interpretation. I noticed that the interpretation comes abundantly anyway when I continue praying in English after speaking in tongues. Prayer became more of an adventure, because I said biblical things that were new to me, too.
✝️Before I started to pray, I knew that anything I was going to pray for, had already been done by Jesus. 🎉I only need to announce and declare them. Huh. Thank God!
And what if I don't use the right words or forget something? Holy Spirit never forgets anything. Praying in tongues simply brought a relief. I knew I had prayed perfectly, if I had prayed in tongues.
Thanksgiving, and pauses also brought a relief. They helped me hear God. Do you dare to wait for His answers in silence? When we give thanks for all those things He did for us, we realise how hood He is. He will surely not change now. He is sure to have provided the way out!
This is my testimony of praying. And of course prayer helped us persevere in hardships and see victories.
