WHY, LORD?

I was recently asking (complaining to) the Lord about why it was taking so long to see results in an area I'm believing for healing in. 😩

His reply was, "You don't want it badly enough."

And I knew exactly what He meant. 😅

There have been times where I've gotten really serious about speaking the Word over my body, using my authority to speak to the "mountain", and been determined to resist the problem until it went… 🤨

But after a while I'd get slack, miss a day here and there (which turned into a series of days), and in short, let other things take priority over the Word of God. 📖

THE  WORD

Then God reminded me that almost every healing that was received under the ministry of Jesus was by people who PURSUED the Healer. 🙏🏼

🙏🏼The royal official heard of Jesus and SOUGHT HIM OUT that He would come and heal his son. (Jn 4:46)

🙏🏼The leper CAME TO Jesus and pleaded with Him to make him clean. (Mk 1:40)

🙏🏼The centurion FOUND Jesus and implored Him to come heal his servant. (Mt 8:5)

🙏🏼Jairus CAME TO Jesus and entreated him to come heal his daughter. (Mt 9:18)

🙏🏼The woman with the issue of blood PUSHED THROUGH the crowds that she might touch Jesus. (Lk 8:43)

🙏🏼The two blind men CALLED ON Jesus to have mercy on them and heal them. (Mt 9:27)

🙏🏼The friends of the paralysed man BROKE THROUGH the roof of Jesus' house. (Mk 2:3)

🙏🏼Multitudes of people FOUND AND FOLLOWED Jesus, bringing their sick and afflicted, and He healed them ALL. (Mk 6:56)

These people and others all heard about The Healer, pursued The Healer with all their heart, and received their healing. 🥰

They wanted it badly enough.

OUR  SITUATION  IN  THE  NEW  COVENANT

Now, it's important to remember that after the Cross, we don't have to beg and plead for Jesus to heal us, and we aren't trying to GET healing. 😰

By His stripes we WERE healed. (1 Pet 2:24) ✝️

But we still have to pursue THE HEALER by seeking out, running to, staying with, and not departing from, THE WORD. (Jn 1:1,14) 📖

We seek out, take hold of, and refuse to let go of what THE WORD says we have and who THE WORD says we are. 💪🏼

And pursuing The Healer isn't something we do casually or just whenever we can fit it in - with grit and determination, we have to make The Word our FIRST PRIORITY. 1️⃣

How do we do this practically?

1. Find what The Healer (The Word) says about you and agree with Him. Speak His words over your body three or four times a day. Apply them to your body regularly and consistently like you would apply a medicine. (Prov 4:22) 💊

2. Each time you do this, do what The Healer (The Word) told us to do and use the authority He gave you to speak directly to the problem. Command it to be uprooted and cast into the sea in His name.(Mk 11:23) 🏔️

3. Throughout the day, meditate on just one healing promise from The Healer - speak and mutter it over and over. As you do this, you are transforming the way you see yourself (from sick to healed) and you will be able to quickly recognise and cast down the lies of the enemy designed to talk you out of what the The Healer says about you. (Rom 12:1, 2 Cor 10:5) 😇

4. Turn off the TV and things that aren't bringing you life and fill your eyes, ears and mouth with The Word. Don't let the cares and distractions of life choke the Word and make it unfruitful. (Mk 4:19) 🌱

5. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you remain disciplined and consistent. (Jn 14:26, Mk 11:24) 🕊️

Decide that you are going to give your FULL attention to the words of The Healer. Turn your ears to ONLY what He says. Don't let HIS Words departs from your eyes. Keep HIS Words going into your heart. Because it's HIS words that are life, healing and medicine to your body. (Prov 4:20-22) 📖

Are we willing to pursue the Healer with all our heart and receive our healing? 🥰
