🧐 Can we effectively pray for peace?

After all, we are living in the last times and Jesus said that at this time nation will attack nation...

Matthew 24:6 NIV

"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come."

💪DO NOT BE AFRAID! Let's not forget that this is the main message.

🧐Actually, Jesus said that we will hear about wars, not that war is inevitable in our country.

Unfortunately, as long as people are sinful and selfish, there will be wars.

But our task in Jesus today is to overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21.

THE CHARACTER OF GOD

Our God is Jehovah Shalom, the God of Peace, the Prince of Peace! Isaiah 9, 5. He never wants war in the New Testament.

We know that during the war, men's bodies and souls are wretched, women are raped, and innocent people die, including children.

But Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life, He never wants the death of the dying. Ezekiel 18, 32. Because He is Love itself.

OUR CALLING

Our calling is to pray for peace, especially for the peace of Israel and our country! Psalms 122.6. 1

I Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV

" Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Here we can read that a calm, quiet, God-fearing life is the goal - in the lives of our families, our people and our leaders. And that is fulfilled in times of peace.

Why would God have told us through Paul to pray for our leaders if prayer could not accomplish all of this? Surely the fervent supplication of a righteous man has great power!

I know that leaders have free will and therefore can choose to go to war. But I believe that thanks to our prayers, they will have an important chance to see the truth and make the right decision.

Peace is very important. The above Scripture proves that God wants peace not only for our lives, but also so that we can spread the Gospel without hindrance.

GOD IS FIGHTING WITH US

When we pray

🌟 the tricks and lies of the devil are exposed in front of the leaders. 2 Corinthians 4:4.

🌟 God can surround leaders with advisers who set a good example and boldly proclaim what the truth is. See the case of Daniel with Nebuchadnezzar. Esther and Mordecai were there with King Ahasuerus, and God saved his people.

🌟 God is able to turn the enemy's weapons against themselves. This is what happened to Gideon and his 300 warriors. They cried out and broke the jars, and that was enough to win. Judges 7, 15-22.

🌟 Jehovah Nissi can give such a victory that there is no dead. See the case of Elisha. 2 Kings 6, 16-22. Because when we pray, there are more people with us than against us. And the angels perform a miracle during the battle and the war ends soon.

WHAT CAN A MERE HUMAN DO?

Just look at the power Jeremiah received!

Jeremiah 1:10 NKJV

"See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”

We can see: God already gave such great power to an Old Testament prophet. And we have a better covenant according to the Jewish letter...

Hebrews 8:6 NKJV

But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

We are not "just" people. The Spirit of Christ lives in us: God's nature and power.

2 Peter 1:4 NIV

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

And war is destruction, so we escape it together with our loved ones.

A PRAYER

Jesus, You are above all difficulties and evil will You are the

🔥Our protector,

🩷Our helper,

🩸Our Savior,
👑Prince of Peace,
🌠 The King of the universe!
🪐The Creator of the universe.
❤️You are the knower of hearts.

You destroy the power of bad counselors (Psalm 33:10. Psalm 21:11. Isaiah 7:5-7), but you lift up the righteous.

You have given us wisdom to expose evil in Your name.

🌊You are the Way, the Truth and Life.
You told us to pray for the leaders so that we can live in peace. (1 Timothy 2,2)

You have given us power over ALL evil. (Matthew 18,18. Luke 10,19)

In Your name we speak peace over the world. Let the plans of the evil one be revealed. Let the leaders' eyes be opened to the truth.

🗣️ Leaders of the countries, be free to choose good and blessing for the peoples, choose life, not death. Hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and follow only Him.

We cover people's lives and possessions with the precious, wonderful blood of Christ.
We forbid war and declare that all weapons and plans against human life fail. God-fearing politicians rise up. (Psalm 113:7-8)Let all evil plans and all murderous intentions be put to shame. (Isaiah 54:17)

We declare that we are children of God, whom He will not allow to be harmed. Just as the Lord did not allow the baby Jesus to be harmed, He also protects us from murderous plans, from war.
