DOCTORS vs. JESUS

Question: "Are doctors God's way of healing people?"

Answer: This is a topic with a simple answer but can have a lengthy explanation to help people understand that answer.

Simple answer: No! Jesus was and is GOD'S WAY of healing people. (please read on)

In the Gospels and Acts, we do not see God using a doctor to heal anybody. Luke, the physician who wrote the gospel and the book of Acts, records no incident where he personally medically helped anyone.

From beginning to end of the Bible, GOD'S method of healing IS Supernatural.

Can God give the doctor wisdom in treating you? 

 Yes, if you choose to be treated medically, but do not say that the doctor was God's choice in healing you. YOU chose to go the way of today's medical science and then YOU asked God to help the doctor in his procedures on you. God did what you asked for and met you at the level of your faith. He is gracious that way and will do whatever He is able to do to help us.

God's Preferred choice is His Son, through Whom He made the worlds and Whom He has made the Heir of all things.

Does God condemn those who use the medical profession for healing? 

 No.

The problem I have found, however, is that once I began to lean on and trust in the medical sciences to heal me, my focus was more on the natural than on the supernatural. Then when the medical sciences came to the end of their ability to heal me, I was left with nothing but God. I decided from then on to just go to Him....

My testimony

Someone wrote in an earlier post about placing trust/faith in two places...like having Plan A and Plan B. Faith in the doctor and faith in God.

I have to go back to my testimony of healing from cancer if you all don't mind. Those two words I heard the Lord say to me: "Trust Me", eliminated Plan B for me. The Holy Spirit ministered to me some more after that, teaching me that if I was looking (in my soul) more to the doctor than to Him and trying to trust Him for healing with my spirit too, I was definitely being the 'double minded man' and I would receive nothing from Him.

Jesus said: "If your eye is single your whole body is full of light". That became a healing scripture for me. My eye is my focus....mentally, emotionally, spiritually and with my will. Trusting Him meant they were ALL focused on Him as my Healer. Plan A.

My body being 'full of light' is healing/health.

Plan B?

If you are not to that stage yet and want to trust Plan B, fine. But you will not have divine health or a life of wellness. Doctors cannot give that. Only God. And be sure to say: "I am believing God is going to give the doctors the wisdom to help me." Even that is not sure, as doctors do not have the Wisdom of God in all areas of sickness and disease and God can only guide them to the limits of their knowledge....sense knowledge.

I would suggest building yourself up spiritually to live by Plan A.

God's Way of Healing is A Person.....His Son, Jesus Christ.
