AUTHORITY OVER YOUR BODY

🤸While I was reading in Genesis how Father God gave us authority over all living things, the fish, the birds etc... I felt Holy Spirit telling me that we have authority over our own body.
That means we don't need any mediator between us and God to command our body parts to be healed or function properly. Even if I know that God says: yes, it gives me such joy that I am "lord" above my body. That I have all the power needed to perform my miracle. Hallelujah. We can glorify God for having given such authority to HUMANS. Matthew 9:8 TPT
But knowing the scriptural basis for it will give us confidence in our faith.
Paul said that he brings his body into subjection in 1 Cor 9,27, so this is the desired state: we don't follow our emotions, what our senses dictate, but we follow Holy Spirit and the body obeys the spirit. Hallelujah.
Jesus' life also shows that His spirit reigned over His body. He could fast for 40 days. He endured flogging and the torture of crucifixion, and still His spirit remained loving and strong. Then He built up the temple of Holy Spirit, His own body.
John 2:19 TPT
"Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up again in three days.”
Jesus clearly demonstrated that He has authority over His own body.
💃Because we are united with Christ, we also have authority over our own body and we can command it to manifest what Jesus died to give us.
(In fact there will be believers who do what Jesus did: "resurrect themselves". What seems incredible to us, is natural in the Kingdom of God. Revelation 11:11. )
